Sirromet Revs Up New ‘ Reef Range ’ Wines with Bartercard Miss Indy Contest
Sirromet Wines of Queensland and the Bartercard Miss Indy contest have joined forces for the launch of a new 'Reef Range' of wines.
The 'Reef Range' will be the official wine at the national final of the contest at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 20.
The national final is during the Lexmark Indy 300 motorsports event on the Gold Coast from October 20-23, which will include a Champ Car race and a V8 Supercar Championship round featuring Queenslander Paul Morris driving the Sirromet Wines-sponsored Holden Commodore.
Sirromet's 'Reef Range' comprises a 2002 Chardonnay and a 2003 Merlot Shiraz Cabernet blend, with both wines from 100-percent Queensland fruit.
Bottles feature Great Barrier Reef-themed labels with dazzling and colourful graphics of fish and coral.
"This concept creates some excitement about our wines, and joining the (Bartercard) Miss Indy contest adds some extra glamour," said Sirromet's Managing Director and Chief Winemaker Adam Chapman.
"Our new 'Reef Range' wines have a Queensland-theme, and Indy is the biggest event in the State so it's a 'win-win' situation."
The 'Reef Range' wines are exclusive to restaurants, and not available in bottleshops.
