Based at Kangaroo Point, Story Bridge Adventure Climb (SBAC) is one of only four such experiences in the world and is a ‘must do’ on a visit to Brisbane.

The exhilarating journey leads to an 80 metre summit, where climbers enjoy spectacular 360° views of Brisbane, the river, the mountain ranges, and Moreton Bay Islands.

With dawn, morning, twilight and night climbs available, SBAC provides an idyllic way to view Brisbane whatever the occasion. Watch Brisbane come to life on a dawn climb or why not enjoy a twilight climb as the sun sets and the city lights up.

Climbs are limited to groups of 12 and led by an experienced climb leader who provides fascinating commentary about the history and heritage of both the bridge and city surrounding them.

From base headquarters climbers walk to the anchor arm on the eastern side of the bridge where they begin the incline to the first of two viewing platforms. It is from here climbers will first experience the spectacular panoramic view of Brisbane, the river and surrounding mountain ranges.

From this summit point the route gradually descends along the eastern arm towards the central platform. Here climbers can traverse the width of the platform while six lanes of traffic whiz below their feet.

Once on the western arm, climbers begin the gradual ascent to the western summit top platform, for another opportunity to take in the panorama.

The climb takes approximately two-and-a-half hours to complete, which includes a safety briefing, simulator, suiting up and of course, the climb itself.
